Originals and clones: you can afford the same outfits worn by cult-movie celebrities, thanks to the Internet that offers a wide range of vintage models and cheap imitation clothing for girls who don’t have enough money to buy the originals.
Wavering girls in search of fashion icons just have to study the right movies and the Internet will do the rest, by making vintage and imitation clothing, originals or copies available to everyone.
These are a few fashion tips by Nina Garcia, fashion export, trendsetter and author of the delightful “Little Black Book of Style”.
She states:“What you see on catwalks and fashion magazines is mostly inspired by the movie industry”.
Everything from 1938 on is perfectly fine: all you have to do is take your time and choose.
For example, the movie “Cinderella in Paris” (1957) with Audrey Hepburn in total black: trousers, turtle neck sweater and ballerina pumps; “The Great Gatsby” (1974) with Mia Farrow wearing white and cream and white flapper dresses and Robert Redford with suits designed by Ralph Lauren; “American gigolo”, that consecrated Armani with his clothes made for the movie. And what about the little
jacket worn by Bella, protagonist of the vampire saga “Twilight” that sold like hot cakes among girl teenagers or the green overcoat worn by Andy in “The
devil wears Prada?”
In “Scarface”, Michelle Pfeiffer wears a turquoise dress that inspired Gucci’s 2006 ad campaign.
Draw your list then off you go in search of vintage websites.
Accessories are even easier to find.
HAVE YOU EVER TRIED THIS?????????????
